Whisper was built 1983 . This stunning yacht is in mint condition, ready to sail. She is unusually well equipped for sailing and with electronic equipment. Only two owners.

Whisper is a flush-deck cruiser/racer,who is easy to sail single handedly if required. She must be the ultimate choice for the sailor who wants the feeling of speed and ease of handling. Sleeps five people.

Hull and deck

Hull and deck is of a sandwich construction. To assure structural stability around the chainplates,

maststep and the keel area this part of the hull of this particular yacht has extra reinforcements. Base interior of GRP. Wooden interior fittings of teak. Freeboards off white with blue decor stripes. Deck with original anti-slip pattern. Deep comfortable cockpit divided in two sections, one for the helmsman and one for the crew. Mahogany table for the cockpit or for use inside.

Deep keel with 2.4 tons ballast of lead/antimon. Balance rudder.

Rig and sails

Fractional rig with tapered silver anodized aluminium mast with one pair of spreaders from Seldens. Furling equipment for the self tacking jib. Runners.

All halyards and trim lines are extended to the cockpit for ease of handling. It is extremely easy to reef the main without leaving the cockpit – a matter of safety.

The following sails are included:


-  Racing full-battened main and ST jib from UK Sailmakers of Tape Drive Kevlar from

   2007. (used only about five weeks). Main 36.0 sqm and jib 21.3 sqm

-  Original cruising main and ST-iib of dacron. 34 and 19 m2 respectively

.  Genua 1  35 m2  and genua 2, both  dacron

-  Radial spinnaker  90 m2, blue and white.


Spinnaker sleeve. Sail covers for main and Jib 2007.  Dodger. Spinnaker equipment. Lazy jacks for main sail.

There is also a detachable cockpit tent/cover.

Deck fittings

Plexi glass hatch on fore deck – also serving as extra access to fore cabin.

All halyards and trim lines from mast are extended  below deck surface to cockpit.

Four Lewmar 30 two speed winches and two Lewmar 43 two speed winches. 20 Easy lock rope clutches for halyards, sheets and trim lines. Self tacker track and track for main traveller.. All necessary blocks, lead blocks and other fittings for ease of handling. Well worked out main sheeting system. The track for main sheeting in front of helmsman for ease of handling . Permanent prevention guy system for main boom.


Yanmar 2GM two cylinder 15 hp diesel engine with S –drive. 35 Amp generator. Engine fresh water cooled . Bronze folding propeller. S-drive rubber new 2009.

Interior arrangement

Fore cabin with double berth. Shelves along the sides of the cabin. Stowage under the berth.

In front of the berth stowage in the bow section. Behind the fore cabin lockers with shelves on both sides.

Main cabin with two sofas,  easily widened for more comfort at night when used for sleeping. Aft of the sofas extra sea-bunk to port.  Extra shelves for sea charts. Electricity distribution box. Above the sofas wooden cupboards all along the sofas with  shelves in the middle. On starboard side galley with twin burner propane stove, stainless steel sink and plenty of stowage for dishes, cutlery, food etc. There are no pumps for fresh water, which is carried in 10 liter bottles in the cockpit lockers. Aft of the cabin roomy deep cockpit.  Plenty of stowage under benches. All  arrangements for sail handling is very well thought through for ease of handling. Fittings for cockpit table. Benches and cockpit floor covered with varnished seamed teak.

Aft of the cockpit is a very roomy stowage – some owners of Carrera Helmsman have installed two childrens bunks there.

Good quality blue ribbed velvet fabric on mattresses, cushions and back rests.


Raymarine Auto Pilot, ST 2000.

Silva NX2 wind instruments and echo sounder (log, compass (wind speed and direction, two multi instruments and echo sounder).

Garmin GPS MAP .  AIS system  with transmitter and receiver.

Two separate VHF radios.

Electrical system

Marin standard el. system with three batteries, of which one is for the starter motor. Batteries are located in the bilge.

Two solar panels. 35 Amp generator. LED nav. lights installed 2007.  Four brass lamps in the main cabin and two in the fore cabin. Lights for galley and the sea bunk.

Wallas hot air heating system for main cabin and fore cabin.


Ventilator at galley and aft stowage.

Steel cradle and rubber dingy.

10 kg Bruce anchor with anchor line. Mooring lines and fenders.
